WIW - Hearts and Flowers and some white

Today is the final day in a grueling week for me. I have not been more ready for a weekend in a long time. The only thing better than a weekend, is a weekend followed by two days of work, then vacation.

Today I'm wearing one of my Janebonbon dresses. I have been wearing toppers when I've done WIWs for these so I thought I'd show it without.

As for the topper I have paired today it's a white cropped denim vest. I thought adding the white over a lot of color would make it work. I think it kind of does, but I'm still uncomfortable with it by my face. I don't think it looks terrible, I just think there are better colors for me and that I should stick to white bottoms.

    Abie this is such a pretty dress. I think the white denim vest looks great over it. It kind odd "completes" the look. The colors and pattern of the dress are just gorgeous.

    I really like this Abie - the dress is so pretty on you and the green necklace really stands out as a gorgeous accessory. The white vest works beautifully over the dress and I actually don't see any negatives about white next to your face.

    Thank you! I am wearing the vest today so I will ponder it some more.

    I think in person and especially outside, it washes me out quite a bit. Part of that might be my comfort level with white though, so I will see how it goes =)

    I think as long as you have another brighter colour underneath the vest, you're fine.

    Funny that you think white washes you out. I didn't read the text before looking at the pictures and my first thought at the closeup was how pretty you looked framed by the white. And then the next thought was awesome necklace, how do I get that off of her?

    I did the same thing Jayne did. You look great in white! Don't be afraid to rock that vest all summer long. Love the dress and shoes, too!

    Haha, Thank you. I'm starting to think I'm just not used to it. It's growing on me as the day goes on.

    The necklace I found in a thrift store for $2 and its turning in to my favorite necklace. It goes well with many things in my wardrobe. It seems to be really old but I'm not sure how old. Best $2 I've spent in a long time =)

    Abie: I like the white next to your face. Now, white is notoriously hard to photograph, so pictures can be deceiving, but it seems to be providing a nice frame here.

    I love it with the vest! The white looks lovely, and the vest toughens the sweet dress just the right amount.
