WIW - Janebonbon Custom dress and Dansko Sneakers

This is one of the dresses I had Janebonbon make up for me for the summer. I have 3 of hers total. This one has a fuller skirt than the other two and is a more hmm.. juvenile print. I love it regardless. It just feels so nice to wear.

The Dansko sneakers I scored on Amazon warehouse deals last month. I don't remember exactly how much they were, I think around $40. They will get a lot of wear this summer.

The last pic I chopped my head off but the angle I usually take pics I think makes midis look a little longer and leg hiding than they actually are.

Lovely dress - and it's adorable with the Dansko's!

Cutie in that dress! and cute sneakers! I hope we get to see the other two dresses too. :-)

Are those the Veda sneakers? I've been wondering about the Veda for fit and comfort. I really need a sneaker alternative to my Saucony's. . . and the usual Keds/Converse just don't have the support I need.

Wonderful and fun! I think the "juvenile" print is coming across as a little retro-ironic-playful, not you trying to dress like a kid. The fit is perfection, and that's so rare these days! Have a great day.

Oh you look perfect in this! The print is just perfect with those curls of yours!

    Thanks everyone!

Happy to hear the print doesn't look too young =) I will defiantly be showing off the other two. I really love them, and me in my 40DDs wearing a sundress with no bra, that's just amazing.

These are Veda sneakers. I find them very comfortable. They feel more like Danskos though than normal sneakers. The bottoms are heavy, firm, and supportive. The tops are really light so they aren't hot.

I don't think they would make good athletic sneakers because the soles are not very flexible, but for walking around or standing, they are great!

    Hi Abie --

I agree with Beth Ann re the print -- retro and playful vs juvenile -- and also with Jayne about it echoing your curls perfectly. Plus the colors are beautiful on you to boot.

Win-win to start, and when you add in the great fit and flattering shape what's not to love?

Can't wait to see your other dresses from her.

ps Yes, the angle of the headless shot shows the hem/proportion (and your great calves) much better.

The dress and bolero are just perfect on you, Abie! Your hair looks really pretty too.

I don't think that the sneakers work with the dress - although I like the sneakers, know them well (It was a "Fab Find" a few years ago).

I look forward to seeing the other dresses!

Wow, that dress is so beautiful on you! Love it!

Oh WOW, this is so darn fun! That custom dress is amazing - the print is cheeky to me, not juvenile.

I know some may prefer heels with this kind of dress, but this is a look I remember some gals with fab retro style used to wear when I was in high school, so it looks "right" to me.

I love this dress. I agree with Rae the print is cheeky & funky not juvenile and I really like it with the sneakers. Easy to glam it up ith a pair of heels if you want to.

I don't know much about Dansko's, but I like the dress, the shrug complement it so well, only would like to see it better with some chuncky black, red, green or white wedge sandals if possible. Will you pls. post about the other dresses, too?

What a fabulous dress! The style and fit are perfection on you and the print is fun and such a nice combination of colours to play with.

The sneakers are such fun. No idea if they "go" or not as this is definately not my area of expertise.

No matter though, it depends what you are doing to a certain point. I'd be climbing the playstructures in the park with a little one in this combo.

I love it all! The dress fits you like a glove, the colors are so pretty against your skin and hair. Love the topper and those shoes are awesome with it! They certainly don't look like a "comfort" sneaker. They read very cheeky and fun to me!

Very cute! I love the print on the dress. I don't think it looks too young...just happy :)
