WIW - Bargain Docs and Blue Animal Print

Hello Everyone,

I haven't posted in a while, life has been hectic. I had to come show off my new booties . They are Doc Marten Viviana's that I got at Amazon Warehouse deals for $36! I am very in love with them.

The dress is a brand called Glamour that I got at Beyond the Rack. I don't usually do animal print and especially not blue animal print but for some reason I was really drawn to this dress.

I like the outfit a lot but I totally failed at putting on any jewelry. Its a busy dress so I don't think it's missed that much but I had intended to wear a simple necklace.

I also have this dress in a black and white geometric print. Right now I'm looking for the right colorful summer scarf to go with that one.

    LOVE the boots! The dress is a good choice for you too, I like the "simplicity" here (enough going on with the cool shoes and colorful print - jewelry not necessary.

    Black ankle booties with a midi? I'm not sure! I'm at a loss here. I posted my own booties with dress question today. I think it would work better for me if the booties were lower contrast with your legs (if the booties were lighter or if you were wearing dark hose) and if the dress was shorter. I do love the dress AND boots, they are both super flattering on you. I'm just not sure if I love them together.

    Thanks! The boots are actually dark brown. I don't mind the contrast to the leg, but I can see that it doesn't show a lot of leg and that it might be more flattering if more skin were showing. I could potentially hem the dress to knee length too, Midi dresses are still kind of tricky to me as I went a long time avoiding them.

    Those boots are amazing and such a great deal. You can wear those forever.

    Amazing booties and I love the dress too! I wonder if part of your legs is obscured just because of the camera angle (vs. a full-body shot from further away)?

    I think those boots are great! I would love a similar pair. Pretty dress too. Personally I like the boots and dress together - I think because the boots have a small heel.

    Love the dress and the booties not sure about them together but at the end of the day if you felt great in the combo good for you. You talked about making the dress shorter but I think you should leave the dress as a midi & experiment with other shoes.

    So lovely to see you post again, Abie! I love this outfit! The colours look amazing on you, and adore the tougher vibe of the booties with the floral print of the dress.

    The dress is lovely, vibrant and fits brilliantly. And I love those booties! Checking Amazon now........
